Ryuichi Sakamoto: Opus — Funkhaus Berlin, 26–27 September 2026
Together with Circadian and Quality Time, we presented Ryuichi Sakamoto's Opus across two evenings in Saal 1 at Funkhaus Berlin. Conceived by Sakamoto as a way to preserve his performances for future generations, the concert film asks for deep, focused listening, and we built the screenings around that intention. The film was played through a 12-speaker Geithain system, a brand Sakamoto admired and worked with throughout his career, so the sound was as central to the experience as the image.
The screenings coincided with the English-language publication of Music Sets You Free and the Ryuichi Sakamoto: seeing sound, hearing time retrospective at Hamburger Bahnhof.
